July 27, Prague castle, ...

It was the day to visit the Prague castle, and learn about Czech kings. First, I hopped on a tram which brought me up to the Prague Castle. But I view its history better up close. I visited all the most important buildings in the Castle – St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and a Golden Lane.

I visited the magnificent Charles Bridge, which was the only way across the Vltava river throughout the medieval ages.

Next several pictures are of the Prague castle.

Next several pictures are of St. Vitus Cathedral. The cathedral has a lot of art, history, paintings and sculpture. Scroll down till you see the next group.

The next several pictures are of the Old Royal Palace. Scroll down till you see the next place.

The next several pictures are of St George's Basilica within Prague castle.

The next set of pictures are from the Golden Lane. This is where the employees in the castle lived.

The next several pictures are of Charles Bridge. Charles Bridge is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the early 15th century. The bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 1158–1172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342.
